CAMPBELL RIVER EAGLES fly high:

THE GOLDEN MEMORIES of JIM HOWIE

.

Brian Zelley:
* Beyond our ring wars, training and coaching and officiating
many of us have some positive memories of Jim Howie for his
dedication to the sport,  Looking back to the Seventies and
eighties I remember Jim  from the times I was their with a
group of folks from Victoria being an active part of the his club.
But, my involvement on a regular basis was limited, and there are
plenty that remember him well.

In was a club show on October 29, 1983 which I was able to
report on in the December 1983 issue of the
"BC Amateur Boxing News".  And, highlighted on page five
was the Coaching staff of the Eagles including
Jim Howie, Charles John and George Shiels.  Also mentioned
were Bernie Brisch, Bill Donnelly,  Dr. Wayne Crowe and
George Anderson.
